Description

Carved and painted mannequin head representing female Chinese figure. Found in closet in the Exhibit Museum. Believed to be part of the Cotton Centennial Exhibition collection used for display of the silk robes. Face painted flesh color with red lips. What appears to be human hair is attached to the head in a long pony tail. Hair tied together with red cotton thread.
The back of the neck has Japanese Kanji which says: 'Samurai Woman'.
